We just had our first press check with Danger Press to make sure all of our printed tops come out looking fresh as possible. The Y&U crew & v-necks are looking soooo good. We’ll begin printing a run of our posters this week too. Excited to share how those come out!

  5. Our first press check on our apparel production is tomorrow! Can’t wait!

Also, our package design is really starting to take form and is almost complete. Designing and illustrating the wrapping paper is easily the most fun I’ve had in a while.

We’ll be taking photos of the production tomorrow so check for updates on your awesome merch being made!

    Happy February,

    -Sean

Time for a quick break and some exciting updates. The above image documents some of the design process going into Young&United’s packaging.

January has been nothing short of a crazy yet exhilarating month as we amp up for production and bring Young&United to life. Around January 12th, we received all of your Kickstarter surveys and after several cups of coffee and troubleshooting Microsoft Excel (designers dont speak microsoft) we were able to get all the information we need to order our supplies! Thank you all for getting your surveys in : )

Our first line of apparel is being made out in LA as we speak and should arrive within the next 10 days!  Back here in Atlanta, we’re getting our design files ready as we prepare for the printing process. We’re really stoked to be working with Danger Press in printing your apparel, poster art, and packaging. Screens will be made over the next week. We’ll be taking some photos and documenting that process over the next few weeks.

As for the leather goods? Designer Mika Becktor has begun hand-stitching each of your beautiful veg-tanned leather wallets. Man, those wallets are hot.

So that’s where we’re at! We’ll have more updates as we go.

    Stay tuned,

    -Sean

  7. Here’s an illustration I made yesterday to go in our packaging. We’re going to be making a unique wrap for all of our goods that will have many of these illustrations printed on it. Stay tuned for more!

  8. Earlier this week, we started designing the packaging for all of our goods. Here’s one of the type explorations that we landed on for the branding of our tags.

  9. So we did it! With the support of so many, we were able to reach our funding goal on Kickstarter that will help us produce our first line of products to be made here in the home of the brave, USA.
But this is just the beginning. We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us and the fun has just begun. So, we’ve set out to create this blog to document every step involved in producing the finest quality goods to be shipped to your doorstep. We want you to see all of the action involved in creating Young&United and turning this from a Kickstarter project to an authentic American Lifestyle brand, made in America.
Thanks again to everyone that helped us make this possible. Here’s to the beginning!
